My friend's call me crazy,
They ask me why I can't just love her.
I tell them it's just not that easy,
But that's just a vague answer.
Question after question is dodged,
But they still push harder.
And in this hole I am lodged,
With slippery walls to clamber.
Soon I start to give in,
To appease their hunger.
With hesitancy I let on,
My heart belongs to another.
All this does is cause another ripple,
"Who is this person?" they wonder.
But it's still not that simple,
For my heart belongs to yet another.
My situation is full of tied hands,
And only God fully understands.
It is in this grand plight,
That I must valiantly fight.
